Travelling From France to the UK
From 04:00hrs Monday 18th January 2021 Customers aged 11 and older travelling on our passenger service require a negative result from a Covid test taken in the previous 72 hours (more info here). At UK border controls you will need to present an email or text message certificate in English, French or Spanish issued by the testing facility - failure to do so will result in a £500 fine.
Where can you get tested?
- By booking an appointment at a laboratory or visiting a walk-in centre - check your local Agence Régional de Sante website or mairie for details of your nearest providers
- There is no COVID-19 testing facility at the Eurotunnel site.
Travelling from the UK to France
Customers aged 11 and older travelling on our passenger service require a negative result from a PCR taken in the previous 72 hours. At French border controls you will need to present digital or paper evidence of the negative result provided by the test provider.
Where can you get tested?
- The French Government will accept all PCR tests There is a list of private test providers which you may find useful here.
- The NHS will not provide tests for the purpose of travel.
- There is no COVID-19 testing facility at the Eurotunnel site.
